Jeans Day, Gold-White, and All That Jazz

We're in that time of the year when all kinds of fun things began to happen for the girls.  The Gold - White Rally is Thursday morning.  I know that the girls have learned cheers from their captains and are going to get decked out in style!

Friday will be a Jean's Day. We are raising money for a little boy from St. Lucia, Hollison St. Catherine (really his name!), who is having lifesaving heart surgery in Richmond in February.  The proceeds from the Jean's Day will help to defray his expenses.  Tomorrow the girls will see a video that the LS Outreach girls made about this day. All divisions are participating in this effort.

The girls are rockin' and rollin' with their learning.  In math we are measuring literally everything in sight, so beware, if you're standing still, you may be the object of your daughter's attention.  At this point, we are concentrating on metrics. Soon, we will be starting a unit on multiplication, exponents, and estimation.  Actually, we have been doing all of that, so they should be ready for a full-on exploration.
